New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis suffered a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand during the first quarter of the 12/2/2013 game against the Knicks. This break generally heals in three to four weeks, followed by physical therapy, misaligned fractures may require surgery.

Tony Martin Undergoes Wrist Scaphoid Surgery

2012 Tour de France winner Tony Martin successfully underwent hand surgery. He fractured his scaphoid when he came down just 11km into the first stage of last year’s race. Surgery was to repair a non-union of the fracture of his scaphoid bone.
