About Handsport’s American Society for Surgery of the Hand Affiliation
Completion of an accredited fellowship in hand surgery, a minimum number of years in practice, and significant evidence of hand-related experience is now essential for the completion of a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand and application for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) membership.
The continuing medical education (CME) mission of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand is to advance the science and practice of hand and upper extremity surgery and reconstructive microsurgery through education.
ASSH’s CME Program is a strategic tool to continuously improve the quality of care for hand surgery patients. This will be done by addressing the members’ professional practice gaps and needs, and improving physician competence and performance in the skills necessary to provide optimal care to patients.
