Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots Suffered a Fractured Left Forearm
Dr Pruzansky | December 20, 2012
Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots suffered a fractured left forearm on Sunday, November 18, 2012. He was blocking on the extra point in the game against the Colts. These fractures, when severe enough to warrant surgery, heal in about 6 weeks. In spite of exercises to reduce deconditioning during the healing phase, there will be a period of forearm, wrist and hand physical therapy required. Generally, there’s a complete recovery. The temporary use of a padded forearm and wrist splint may be applied for practices and games as he heals.
