Defensive Star J.J. Watt Plays Through Broken Hand

Texans’ star defensive player J.J. Watt wasn’t able to practice Thursday due to a reported hand injury.
It has now been released that Watt has suffered a broken hand, likely a Metacarpal Fracture.
However, Watt, who has never missed an NFL game in his athletic career, is not concerned about the injury affecting his performance or keeping him from playing Sunday against the New England Patriots. In terms of the injury, he stated “I’m not very worried about it. My elbow a couple of years back was way more painful.”
Texans’ head coach Bill O’Brien is also unconcerned about the hand injury, saying “I don’t think it will affect him.” Watt has a league-leading 13.5 sacks this season.
