Jets’ Darrelle Revis Undergoes Wrist Surgery

Dr Pruzansky | March 17, 2016

All-pro shutdown cornerback Darrelle Revis will be spending of the rest of this offseason in a cast after undergoing wrist surgery yesterday to repair a torn ligament.

News about the surgery came as a surprise to many, as Revis was never officially listed as having a wrist injury.

Originally diagnosed with a wrist sprain early in the season, Revis said the pain continued throughout the season. When the pain in his wrist did not subside after the season ended, he elected to have surgery.

Revis is expected to be in a cast for the next two to three months, after which he will undergo physical therapy and rehab to strengthen the repaired wrist ligament.

He should be back in time for Jets training camp, which begins in late July.
