The Yankees’ Curtis Granderson Out with a Forearm Fracture

Dr Pruzansky | February 27, 2013

New York Yankee Center fielder Curtis Granderson is out for about 10 weeks with a right forearm fracture. His ulna was broken by a J.A. Happ pitch 2/24/13, in the first game of spring training against the Jays. Granderson throws right handed and bats lefty so that will help get him back into the lineup with less rehabilitation. Ulna fractures heal slowly, even when well – aligned in a splint or cast. Misaligned fractures require surgical repair.
