Dr Pruzansky | May 13, 2018

As a professional pianist the repair and recovery of my broken left fourth finger was crucial. Dr. Pruzansky reset the finger, removed an enchondroma and did an allograft during my surgery on 1/4/2018. His operative and post -operative care was exceptional. The surgery was performed within 48 hours after seeing the condition of my hand. I have previously never experienced such efficient hospital arrangements. I arrived at Mount Sinai at 5:30 AM the morning of a blizzard, surgery was 7:30-8:30 and I was home in my kitchen by 9:30 AM.  Two pins and a device were inserted to hold the bone in place, the process and instructions were completely clarified to me. It was a complex reconstruction though I felt confident I was in the best care. Dr. Pruzansky addresses such cases regularly. Now in the month of May, five months after surgery and assured of my ability to play the piano as before, I am preparing a concerto performance with the Lower Merion Symphony in autumn. Dr. Pruzansky’s superb expertise has allowed me to continue my work as a performing musician and piano teacher and chamber music coach at Manhattan School of Music Pre College. His care and very direct instructions led to an excellent recovery. As well I am thankful for the essential assistance of Eunice Corona from his office and hand therapist, Madge Dargan.
