Tennis Star Rafael Nadal Injures Wrist
Dr Pruzansky | July 31, 2014
Rafael Nadal injured his right wrist on Tuesday.
The tennis star has pulled out of the next two events in Toronto and Cincinnati, leaving some to wonder if the defending US Open champion will recover in time for the August 25th event.
Rafael, now 28, has been battling nagging injuries the last two years. With this wrist injury, a major blow to any tennis player, questions loom as to how effective Nadal will be if he returns.
The injury to his non dominant wrist will affect his two-handed backhand but not the ball toss. He is predicted to be splinted for 3 weeks.
This is the latest in a long line of tennis injuries this season. Read about the details of his injury and its treatment in the doctor’s last blog.
