Tendinitis Forces Stephen Gallacher Out of PGA Championship

Scottish professional golfer Stephen Gallacher was forced to pull out of the BMW PGA Championship before this week’s opening round after tendinitis in his wrist flared up Wednesday.
Gallacher received a cortisone injection Wednesday night but felt the pain was too severe to play when he prepared for his 8:25 a.m. tee time on Thursday.
Gallacher was due to partner with Ryder Cup teammate Lee Westwood and English prospect Tommy Fleetwood in Thursday’s opening round.
A relatively unpredictable player, Gallacher was fourth at Wentworth in 2010 but has also missed the cut for the tournament 11 times.
