Dr Pruzansky | December 3, 2014
Giant slalom Olympic champion Ted Ligety is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on Saturday. Ligety recently suffered a carpal dislocation to his left wrist while training with the U.S. Ski Team in Vail, Colorado.
According to Ligety’s Twitter page, he will be returning to the sport “in a couple days”. He hasn’t been pulled from the Lake Louise, Alberta super-G competition occurring next week.
Ligety is a two-time Olympic champion and is considered one of the greatest giant slalom skiers of all time.
