North Dakota State Star QB Breaks Throwing Wrist

Dr Pruzansky | November 2, 2015

North Dakota State suffered a major blow last Saturday as Carson Wentz, one of the most talented quarterbacks the team has ever had, broke his throwing wrist.

Wentz sustained a wrist fracture during the first half of the 24-21 loss to the University of South Dakota after landing badly during a play.

Wentz went on to tape his wrist and play for the second half, but a subsequent X-ray on Monday revealed the football injury.

“My heart goes out to him. Obviously he’s a big part of our success,” said head coach Chris Klieman.

Wentz is expected to be off the field for six to eight weeks, but may return in time for the FCS playoffs.
