Dallas Mavericks guard Devin Harris significantly bruised his right hand Thursday night during the team’s 94-75 loss against the Portland Trail Blazers.
After the game, his hand was in so much pain that he had to use only his left hand to get dressed. However, Harris is now simply relieved his hand is bruised but not broken, which means he will be able to play in a game or two.
“I’m hoping (it’s a one-game deal). We’ll see how it responds” said Harris Friday night. “I can’t really spread my hand out.”
“We hope it’s not long term” says Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle. “He’s an important guy for us”.
Devin Harris hopes to play tonight in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
