Jacoby Ellsbury Out with Wrist Injury
Dr Pruzansky | March 20, 2016
It has been over a week since Jacoby Ellsbury was struck in the right wrist by a pitch. His return to the lineup is likely within two weeks.
Despite X-rays and a CT scan on the star centerfielder ‘s wrist returning negative results, ligament, tendon and joint injuries can be disabling.
Ellsbury’s treatment plan probably includes extensive rehabilitation and physical therapy to reduce any pain and swelling in the wrist, while restoring strength and a full range of motion in a prudent timeframe.
