Cardinals’ Wide Receiver Michael Floyd Sustains “Shocking” Hand Injury
Dr Pruzansky | August 13, 2015
Last Wednesday Cardinals’ star wide receiver Michael Floyd dislocated three fingers to such an extent that he was shocked upon removing his glove.
He’d injured the hand when it bent back after landing on the ball as he dove for a pass during 1-on-1 drills.
“It was just shocking to see once I took my glove off and realized what was under there.” -Floyd
Both he and Cardinals’ coach, Bruce Arians, were reluctant to address the timetable for his return.
However, teammate Larry Fitzgerald said Floyd was in great spirits following his surgery to repair his dislocated fingers, and there is optimism despite the severity of the injury that he’ll be back on the field for the season opener against the Saints.
