About Dr. Jason S. Pruzansky

dr-jason-s-pruzanskyDr. Jason S. Pruzansky is a hand surgeon with clinical expertise in hand, wrist, forearm and elbow surgery. His practice focuses on the treatment of fractures, arthritis and complex wrist ligament injuries, including arthroscopically assisted fracture and ligament surgery and endoscopic carpal tunnel release.

Dr. Pruzansky received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, and his medical school and orthopedic surgery training at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he earned the Excellence in Patient Care Award. During his chief resident year he was the recipient of the Academic Achievement Award for scoring in the 100th percentile among all orthopaedic surgery residents nationally.

Dr. Pruzansky completed his subspecialty fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University at Buffalo, noted for traumatology, reconstructive and microsurgery. Working as a research fellow at the Philadelphia Hand Center, he analyzed the use of surgical antibiotic prophylaxis and new minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of arthritis of the hand and wrist.

Dr. Pruzansky’s research has been published in numerous journals and he has presented nationally. Dr. Pruzansky is an attending surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he also teaches. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. He is an active member of the American Orthopedic Association Emerging Leaders Program, a candidate member of both the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is board certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
