Second Baseman Dee Gordon could not play in this year’s All-Star game as he dislocated his left thumb.
President of Baseball operations Michael Hill described the injury as “not as bad as it could have been” and said the team didn’t even deem it necessary to give Gordon an MRI to look for ligament damage.
“You can’t sit there and cry about it.” said Gordon in reference to the injury.
Gordon was on last year’s All-Star team for the Dodgers after hitting .338 with 33 steals and a .772 OPS in 84 first-half games.
