Congenital Anomalies of the Hand and Tennis Elbow Presentations in Memphis, Tennessee
The surgical care of congenital malformations of the hand, and treatment options for tennis elbow were discussed by Dr. Pruzansky at a hand surgeons‘ meeting in Memphis, Tennessee on October 12th and 13th, 2012. The options, timing, and surgical reconstruction of congenital malformations of the hand, wrist, forearm and upper extremity were elaborated and treatment algorithms presented.
Lateral epicondylitis occurs in a variety of sports and activities of daily living – tennis, golf, weight-lifting, racquet sports and wrestling to name a few. Various nonsurgical and surgical treatments were fleshed out with the other surgeons, including the use of platelet rich plasma. The highly successful surgery developed by Dr. Pruzansky for chronic tennis elbow was shown to the audience.
