Boston Red Sox’s Hanley Ramirez was hit while running to second base last Wednesday night by a line-drive from teammate Xander Bogaert.
The ball struck Ramirez in his left hand, causing significant hand pain. Ramirez was immediately pulled from the game.
Thankfully, x-rays and a CT scan taken of his hand and wrist after the injury have come back negative for fractures. Ramirez hopes to be back in the team’s lineup Monday.
